Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and your rights.

Last updated

1. Overview

FiverrStar respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights over your information.

By using the platform you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

Account information — name, email, optional avatar.

Transaction information — order history, billing details (processed by PayPal / Payoneer, we do not store full card numbers).

Usage information — pages visited, search queries, device and browser metadata.

Communications — messages sent through our contact and "Work with a designer" forms.

3. How we use your information

To deliver purchased files and run buyer/seller flows.

To process payments and prevent fraud.

To respond to support enquiries and improve the platform.

To send transactional emails (receipts, notifications). We do not send marketing emails without opt-in.

4. Cookies

FiverrStar uses cookies for session management (so you stay logged in), preference storage, and basic analytics.

See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

5. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of third-party providers to run the platform:

— PayPal & Payoneer for payments

— A cloud database provider for storing platform data

— A file-storage service for design assets

— An email provider for transactional messages

Each is bound by their own privacy policy.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. Order records are retained as required for accounting and tax purposes. You may request deletion at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent for non-essential processing.

Send requests to the address listed on the contact page — we respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices: HTTPS everywhere, hashed passwords (bcrypt), AES-256 encrypted session tokens, and least-privilege access to production data. No system is perfect, but we work to reduce risk.

9. Children's privacy

The platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We will indicate the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and, for significant changes, notify registered users by email.
